Preterite of Regular Verbs
The preterite is a past tense in Spanish. It is used for
actions that are COMPLETED in the past. The preterite endings are
added to the stem of the infinitive (habl-, com-, viv-).
Notice the -er and -ir verbs have the same endings
in the preterite.
